Student diary in Boston, Aug 25 ①
Based on the questions we asked the high school students yesterday, we discussed what our fictional company is for and what kind of work it would do.
At first, I thought I wouldn’t be able to come up with better ideas than the ones I already had. But in the end, I was able to come up with new ideas during the discussion. I realized that even if I don’t know something at first, if I think carefully, I can figure out the best solution.
Next, we visited the MFA (Museum of Fine Arts). I saw many different exhibits, including paintings and models. I wasn’t very interested in art before, but when I actually saw the artworks in person, I was deeply moved by them.
Later, I listened to a talk by Mr. Yoshinaga. I really feel it was a great opportunity to learn about what chemistry is and about the company Saint-Gobain.
Today, I learned how important it is to try new things.
