Student diary in Boston, Aug 21 ①
I didn’t sleep well last night because I went to bed at 2:30. The room was cold, and I missed my Japanese futon.
This morning, I took the train to go to the study center. It was my first time riding a train in America. We made it safely to the study center.
At Study Center #1, we discussed global and local issues and learned about VIS (Visual Thinking Strategy). Through the GPI session, I felt that my communication and observation skills improved.
For lunch, I had a sandwich. It was really big—and really delicious!
In the afternoon, we took the subway to visit MIT. Japanese graduate students gave us a tour. I was inspired by what one of them said. It made me think, “I want to go to a university like MIT someday.”
Let’s do our best again tomorrow!
