Student diary in Boston, Aug 20
I woke up at 5:30 this morning and left home. I was really sleepy, but I was also excited—I had been looking forward to going to Boston.
What I remember most clearly is the in-flight meal. It was served on the second of three flights. There were several options, but since I was sitting near the back of the plane, the only one left was pork curry… I was a little disappointed. Still, the pork curry turned out to be really good. It came with salad, dessert, and even a pizza twist as a snack. My friend and I said, “Wow, that’s kind of fancy.”
Because of the Air Canada strike, I was worried right up until the last moment whether I would be able to arrive safely in the U.S., but I’m relieved that I made it to the hostel. I want to keep developing my leadership skills through all the experiences I’ll have during this training.
